This piece is a proof of concept for a short documentary. The film explores the challenges faced by costumed performers working in Times Square and the hurdles of their livelihoods. As the Darien Gap migration crisis unfolds, an influx of new performers brings competition in this already precarious trade. Amid this situation, new relationships emerge, marked by empathy and tension.
